Bluegrass bar & grill

Ever since we went to Otel Lobby, I had been looking for a good time to try the other most talked about diners at the moment which located on the other side of Otel Lobby. So, on our 72 months anniversary, we went to Bluegrass hoping for a good dinner.

We reached there almost 9pm. They have their own private parking and it was loaded with cars. I was quite surprised with the busy crowd as it was almost 9pm on a Monday night, luckily we got seated directly. The interior was ok, dark ambiance with dimmed lights. They have a very long bar positioned from one side to the other side of the room. Looking through the menu, their selections was quite vary from western, Indonesian, Italian to Asian. Prices were quite affordable aside from the grills.

We chose Bluegrass blackened salmon caesar salad (75k) for our appetizer. As our main course, Hubby went with John Dory (Pan seared John Dory, buttered rice and mango salsa) 85k, and I went with Kampoeng style fried rice (Traditional fried rice with shredded chicken, beef meatball and beef satay) 55k. Before I say anything about the food, I must compliment the service here. It was flawless. The waiters were polite, friendly, full of smile and attentive. For me personally, a great service immediately strikes an A for a good dinner. Anyway, back to the food. We love the caesar salad, very fresh with nice caesar dressing, but I didn't like the salmon. It was grilled with some kind of black sweet sauce so it tasted weirdly sweet. My fried rice was delicious! Very big portion and beautiful seasoning with generous chicken and meatballs, came with pickles, sambal terasi, poached egg and beef satay. It was my second most likeable Kampoeng fried rice after the one at The Cafe, Mulia. Hubby said his John Dory was so so, the buttered rice with mango salsa was nice but the dory was simply ordinary.

Lychee bread pudding

We were very full yet I still insisted to try the Lychee bread pudding (50k), it was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and we can opted to add with liquor for a 10k. It was a quite delicious bread pudding, the liquor was put inside a pipette so we can just squeeze the pipette to get the liquor blend inside the bread pudding. I like how they put Lychees on the layers, the liquor surely makes it tastier.

Both of us have a pleasant night. A good food accompanied with nice ambiance and top services. Thanks for sweeten our anniversary dinner!
